can you put a list of the games that were in the video?

I like Animal Crossing, sims, stardew valley, Rune Factory, harvest moon. Yet, I haven't really been interested in any of these indie cozy games.

I think people are tired of the usual dark and edgy games because we've become so oversaturated with them it's nice to have a break from that and be reminded of the games of your childhood in some cases

I already had a switch, but the pandemic and seeing all my friends playing ACNH made me buy it too, cause what else was I going to do ! I loved it though lm sure there were days I spent 10 hours listening to podcasts and just fishing…

The sims is not cozy game, it's simulation genre. If you've played any of the previous installments you would never call it cozy

I put this video on to half-watch in the corner of my screen while I play House Flipper 2 but I got drawn in and won't be able to get back to my game until this video's over

I’m actually in the process of developing my own cozy game! Right now it’s pretty similar to Stardew Valley, but I want to go a little more outside the box in terms of mechanics. If anyone has ideas for features to add to my game, please let me know! I don’t want it to just end up as a carbon copy of all the other cozy games out there. 😅

The best part of the surge of cozy games is: i got to know your channel, i almost don't play videogames anymore (sad) but your editing and voice are the coziest part of them

My absolutely unhinged take on this phenomenon is that people are using these kinds of game as an escape because the world is seriously kinda screwed right now. Houses are unaffordable, prices of everything are blowing sky high, wages are stagnating, etc etc. What better game to escape in than one that lets you fulfill your fantasy of *gasp* owning a home and doing stuff with it?

Not to turn into a sociologist out of nowhere, but I feel like people are drawn to cozy games because a lot of us feel like the world around us is kinda burning down (prime example: 2020 and ACNH). And I think a lot of devs are building off that by providing players with a little whimsy, coziness, and calms in an otherwise hectic and decidedly un-cozy world. So, the more violent (physically or psychologically) the world beyond us is, the more cozy games can (and will) proliferate That, or we just like cute animals and twee homesteading idk

Not my favorite genre of game but definitely do enjoy playing a cozy game every now and again.

I once read that if you plant 99,000 bells on the day the Isabel says something about the horoscope (I can’t remember exactly what she said but yeah) I tried it once and it worked but I haven’t gotten those news again so I can’t say that it works 100% of the time

I play lots of cosy games. But I do totally agree. To much cosy games who cannot grab my attention for a (very) long time. And they are not very 'deep'.

Strangely enough I dislike both ACNH and SDV. ACNH feels less like a “community simulator game” and more like a “decoration” game. Compared to the older games the villagers feel less like characters and more like moving decorations. SDV isn’t bad but it just never clicked with me. Which is odd considering Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons are some of my favorite games. If only SDV had pixel art that looked more like the GBA/GBC HM games. That would be cool. I don’t even think of SoS/HM as “cozy” games so much as I think of them as farming/life sim games.

a game i used to play as a kid i found very cosy was freerealms. it was open world with fun characters, biomes, and stories. there was SO much to do and none of it was 'necessary' but genuinely fun. you would play with others because it was fun to do so, not because it was required to progress. i feel like I've been chasing the feeling that game gave me for so long, and Palia honestly scratches that itch in a lot of ways! though, I'm not super far into Pailia yet, so i haven't hit any of the roadblocks others mention such as it being too grindy or kind of forcing u to party up with others

The things that makes a game good for me is the ability to lose, ill never feel like I'm winning if i can't lose, this is the reason i absolutely hate palia it has decent movement graphics and its pretty but no combat at all makes it just boring. You don't even die if you jump off a really tall place. I don't even need a game to have nice graphics fantasy life is one of my favorite games period. even though its a generally short story there is an absurd amount of things you can do, cooking, mining, wood chopping, fishing, different types of combat, boss fights etc. im so hyped to play the new switch one.
